the os does not take up 13gb it takes up about 7 and you can remove some of the extra stuff to free up more space.
you cant outsell someone if you can make any thing to sell... sure the ps3 will sell out but it wont outsell anything.
couldnt they just ban anyone whose dvd drive bios can not be read from? i mean any non hacked drive can be read from... so no-read = ban, hacked = ban. simple.
i thought they were trying to cust costs? thats why they cant spend the extra $5 to put rumble in the controllers... but they can include a $25 movie? seems kinds fishy dont you think. Shouldnt game related things come first then movies...
my girlfriend acctually told me i HAVE to get this game.... only cuz waverace was one of her fave games... poor me...
i dint think you understand... you dont get a cable at all for any HD set you will have to spend another $50 no matter how you connect to a HD set... so thats $600 + $50 just to start. Have fun with that.
mass effect already did this will all of the people in the game... and it looks way better too. and was shown in engine... like ages ago... so yeah...
still doesnt change the fact that you can only have 256 at any one time... where as the 360 has 512 shared, and pc's can have round 4 gigs. noob.
the thing is this means nothing if they only make 5 "core" systems for all of japan and the rest of the world. notice they said nothing about dropping the price of the 60g version. its simple really all they will do is say hy look how cheap this one is.... oops we are all out... but we do have this one for $600 that you can buy.
50,000 yen = about $430, the thing is this means nothing if they only make 5 "core" systems. notice they said nothing about dropping the price of the 60g version. its simple really all they will do is say hy look how cheap this one is.... oops we are all out... but we do have this one for $600 that you can buy.
also i would like to point out that if you get the premium 360 from overstock.com for $339 and if M$ releases the HD-DVD drive for the same price in the states as they are in japan, ~$170 that means that you get everything for $509 that IS quite the deal. But the best part is you dont HAVE to buy the hd-dvd if you dont want to. with sony you DO because they NEED to FORCE you, a GAMER, to support thier MOVIE MEDIA FORMAT crap. the ps3 is a blu-ray player first game system second.
umm to have 1080p all you need to do is update the firmware... something that is free! and incase you forgot sony is NOT including a HDMI CABLE (yes it has a HDMI PORT but the av port on the 360 can do digital out so no diff there) with thier premium and there isnt even an option on the basic version (the core 360 again can do digital out). so the fact that IF you want to have HDMI input with a 360 you have to buy the cable is NO DIFFERNT THAN SONY... and for all we know the cable might come ...
why would sony admit this until the last minute or even untill well after the launch, you bet your ass they will deny it that doesnt make it untrue though... they know that the average gamer will not like this news and they already have enough bad PR why pile this on if they dont have to. it would be like them telling everyone in advance that they put root kits on thier cds.
dvd couldn't hold a HD MOVIE, but it could very easily hold a game. they are 2 different animals.
its sad i had to use my last bubble to tell you that but... ehh ppl need to be educated.
everyone with a 360 gets a free month of xbox live gold when they buy thier system, all you have to do is make an account, you dont even have to enter any billing info. also you can just use a silver account to get the update and if you dont have the inernet they will send a disk with any updates you need all you have to pay is the $1.99 for shipping.
the ps3 doesnt come with a HDMI cable either... so whats your point there? and as i said the main drive behind the 1080p update is for movies... for movies it is not worthless... for games it is.
as for copying. the hardware has been able to do it from day 1 it just needed to be enabled. so you cant really call that copying unless M$ can time travel and went to the future and saw that the ps3 would be able to output in 1080p and then went back intime before thier launch and ad...
i agree i like the mass effect style rpg much better. it feels less like you are being forced in a direction. i like to feel like i can do what i want to.
simply put they can output a digital signal through the existing av port on the back of the system, all they have to do is make a HDMI cable to plug into it.
As for WHY would they do this... because even though 1080p is pretty much worthless for games, it is good for movies, the fact that it CAN do it for games is just a small bonus and one less thing that sony can claim that they can do and the 360 can't. it is really quite smart on thier part.
becuase it isnt worth the effort right now.... NO ONE HAS 1080p TV's why take all that dev time for a HANDFULL of people... let alone gamers, as most people that DO have a 1080p TV use it for MOVIES, not games. 720p IS THE SWEET SPOT! that is were the main mass of people will be able to benifit.
just think of the multi player cheating... great... that is the number 1 reason live will be better, its closed.
